Snow fell the day Jordan Love showed up in Green Bay for offseason workouts.
But for the Packers, the springtime hasn’t felt this light and bright in years. After multiple drama packed seasons, Green Bay is on the verge of moving on from Aaron Rodgers and intent on starting the former Utah State quarterback. As the national media projects their concern about the offense, those in the know continue to slowly build up their confidence in the first time starter.
Matt Hamilton, a former scout for the Detroit Lions, appeared on the Up and Adams podcast with Kay Adams. Using game footage, Hamilton broke down why Cheeseheads should be enthused about Jordan Love’s progress. The breakdown is fantastic click play to watch the whole thing.
Hamilton’s assessment comes just days after Keyshawn Johnson shared big expectations for Love.
“Yeah I think he’s going to be good.” Johnson said. “I think he will be an NFL starting quarterback. Not an NFL starting quarterback by default, but an NFL starting quarterback that’s going to win games. I’m not saying he’s gonna win Super Bowls and MVPs, but I’m saying I think he’s going to be an NFL starting quarterback that they are going to be happy with over the next eight years or so.”
Not everyone is ready to crown Love. Former Packers all world offensive tackle Brian Bulaga took to Twitter to respond to a “silly” tweet and calm down anyone’s expectations for the youngster.
