Two years ago Aaron Rodgers wanted to play with Odell Beckham Jr. in Green Bay. It looks like next season he may get his wish in New York.
ESPN’s insider Jeff Darlington, appearing on Get Up this morning, said Beckham and the Jets would both like a deal to happen.
“Just because you see this wide receiver room continuing to shift does not mean that they are done work. We should very much consider Odell Beckham Jr. still on the table as an option for the New York Jets. In fact, we can go even further to say that both sides would still like to see this done. Financials still in the way of actually finalizing this thing, but I still think that Odell Beckham Jr. will wind up with the New York Jets.”
While it remains to be seen if Beckham can recapture his abilities this potential deal could be an extra thorn in the side of Packers fans who are frustrated with the front office. The Jets seem to be doing everything Rodgers and many of the Packer faithful wanted in his last few years in Green Bay. Despite having weapons they are going out and getting the man even more.
