WNBA (0.5 Unit) NY Liberty Team Total Over 81.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 9:00 PM CT on WWOR
Keep an eye on the status of Sabrina Ionescu for tonight since she’s a game-time decision, but with her in the lineup I think the Liberty can clear this total. They’ve been the one team that’s had some consistent offensive success against Golden State, who has frustrated and shut down some of the most potent offensive teams in the league.
New York has averaged 86.0 PPG against the Valkyries in 3 meetings, but dropped 95 in the one game where they were fully healthy. Jonquel Jones missed both of the other games, and now Ionescu is the key piece tonight, but with the Liberty looking to bounce back from an awful game in Phoenix they should clear this total if everyone is available.
WNBA (1 Unit) Phoenix Mercury Team Total Over 86.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 9:00 PM CT on NBA TV
Speaking of teams that go off when they’re at full strength, the Mercury are about as dangerous as it gets now that all their stars are available. They’ve rocketed up the standings as a result, and should have another easy time scoring points tonight. The Fever defense has been no match for them in two meetings this season giving up 101 and 95 points, both of which Phoenix had all their starters for. It shouldn’t be difficult for the Mercury to replicate that production against this extremely thin roster for Indiana, so look for a big night on the scoreboard for Phoenix here.
MLB (0.75 Unit) SF Giants Team Total Over 6.5 (+105; Odds via Caesars): 7:40 PM CT on COLR
I’m getting the sense that the Giants enjoy bringing their bats to Coors Field. They’ve scored 31 runs in 4 games there this season, and the way this offense is clicking right now I don’t see them letting up tonight. Yesterday’s 8-run effort makes it 7.7 runs per game during this 8-1 stretch that has suddenly made them a factor in the playoff race again.
With that motivation behind them, I think they can get to Kyle Freeland and this Rockies bullpen, as the last time they faced him in Coors they finished with 10 runs on the board. Freeland has a 6.36 ERA at home to go with a sky-high .350 opponent on-base average, so look for him and a bad bullpen to let the Giants keep raking tonight.
