Although he doesn’t stack up to some of the high-end running back talent that could go higher in the first round, Ronald Jones can still be proud of his three steady seasons at USC that featured 39 rushing touchdowns. He was 13 yards short of a 1,000-yard season as a freshman, then followed that up with 1,082 yards as a sophomore and 1,550 as a junior – eighth in FBS.
Jones, a high school track star, has wheels, but wasn’t able to show them at the combine when he tweaked his hamstring mid 40-yard dash. That slip up could cost him a few draft slots and possibly first-round status.
