A modest producer at LSU, Foster Moreau profiles as blocking tight end. He finished his LSU with just 629 receiving yards and six touchdowns, but his quickness that earned him the top shuttle time at the combine could be a useful tool in the passing game. He cut down on drops last year that were an issue in 2017. Made six catches and scored a touchdown at the Senior Bowl.

What the analysts say

“Moreau is a feisty, committed run-blocking tackle with solid technique and footwork to find proper angles in-line or on the move. He’s tough enough to battle at the point of attack, but at his best when he’s a lead blocker on iso, wham blocks, and outside zone with his ability to locate and land on second-level targets. He lacks finesse as a route-runner and is too content to be covered when matched up against a linebacker. While he’s not dynamic, he should find work as a run-blocking option who can be moved around formations.” – Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

“LSU TE Foster Moreau presents value for teams who require/prefer additional blockers at the line of scrimmage beyond their starting line. Moreau has an effective feel for pass protection and presents additional upside as a run blocker if he’s able to establish more consistency with his hands at first contact. Moreau is a limited upside receiving prospect who projects best as a potential TE2, should not be considered a viable receiving feature in the long term.” – Kyle Crabbs, The Draft Network
