According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, Jimmy Butler is set to make his return Friday for the Timberwolves night against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Butler has missed 18 games since he tore his meniscus Feb. 23 against the Houston Rockets. The Wolves went 8-10 in that stretch, and had a wide-ranging supply of successes and struggles during that time.
Their best moment was their thrilling home win over the Steph Curry-less Golden State Warriors, while their worst was probably their home loss to the tanking Memphis Grizzlies a couple weeks later.
The Timberwolves have three games left in the regular season, and with the playoffs in question, Butler’s return is a welcome sight for several reasons.
