NCAA Basketball (1 Unit) Gonzaga/UCLA Over 154 (-110): 9 PM CT on ESPN
All gambling aside, this is clearly the game of the night. When these two teams met in the NCAA Tournament, we got an instant classic in a game that eclipsed the 180 point mark (granted it did go into overtime). Gonzaga won that game 93-90, and although they lost a couple of guys to the NBA draft, I don’t see them slowing down. Both of these teams are averaging over 90 PPG so even if their enhanced defenses push them into the 80’s, these offenses are simply too talented not to give this number a run for its money en route to a game that I expect to be played in 80’s.
NBA (0.5 Units) Los Angeles Lakers @ New York Knicks -5.5 (-110): 6:30 PM CT on TNT
Few things are funnier to me than LeBron James getting chased around an arena for assaulting a guy with his elbow, but I’m also going to take advantage of the result of that fight. LeBron is suspended for tonight’s game and we should all know what that means for the Lakers by now. The Lakers are 4-6 without James and have an average point differential of -5.7 points in those games. Madison Square Garden is always a tough place to play, to begin with so without the King, I think the Knicks have a good chance to get back on track tonight.
