Minnesota Vikings Cornerback Shares Immature And Disappointing Social Media Post

In the midst of a 29-0 shutout on Thursday night, young Kris Boyd was getting some run at cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings. After an excellent 3rd down hit on Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver James Washington, Boyd’s immaturity came out. What should have been a final blow for the Steelers turned into new life, as Boyd earned a penalty for standing above and taunting Washington. Fans might not agree with the rule, but it was one of the easiest and most obvious calls of the night.

The Steelers went on to score their first touchdown and the entire night changed. A Vikings defense that clearly wanted a shutout was frustrated. Anthony Barr aggressively shoved Boyd, and Xavier Woods basically told him to leave the field.

Once off the field, Boyd received an earful from both Andre Patterson and Mike Zimmer.

You would think that experience would be a growing moment for Boyd. Unfortunately, the opposite appears to be true. Boyd took to his Instagram account to post a picture of the taunt with the caption “Forever get my lick back!”

To make things worse, when former Viking Ifeadi Odenigbo’s joked in the comments that it “should have been flagged,” Boyd responded “they p***y *ss did!!😒👎🏾 It’s football.”

It’s been a long season for Minnesota Vikings’ cornerbacks on the field and for some reason on social media. Both Cameron Dantzler and Bashaud Breeland have had their moments, but this one takes the disappointing cake. With Patrick Peterson on a one-year deal and the future of the defensive backfield in question, such a complete lack of maturity and responsibility will do Boyd no favors as he tries to make his mark with the Vikings franchise.
