Whether it’s Bruce Willis gathering up his oil workers to go fight an astroid or LeBron and Bugs Bunny reuniting The Toon Squad to save LeBron‘s son, it doesn’t get much better than a “getting the gang back together” scene.

A Packers off-season that already felt like a 30 for 30 has now officially started to feel like a heist movie. So somebody queue up the AC/DC and let’s head over to Instagram.

Leader of the pack, Aaron Rodgers, already has his favorite wide receiver back, and now he, Cobb, and Bakhtiari are pushing hard to bring back all time Packer favorite Clay Matthews.

And Clay Matthews seems open and ready.

Matthews, who hasn’t played since the 2019 season spent his first 10 years with the Packers racking up 83 1/2 sacks. In his one year with the Rams he totaled 8 sacks in just 13 appearances.

Matthews clearly isn’t the star that he used to be, but this move could make a ton of sense for Green Bay. He is undoubtably still a super talented situational edge rusher and would provide fantastic depth behind Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith. With the Packers roughly $11 million in cap space they could easily get this done.

Some might find it silly, but this is actually an opportunity for the organization to really show something. It’s main leaders are talking and making sense, even if it’s on Instagram. Matthews has Super Bowl winning experience, would be a leader in the locker room, and is a fan favorite. Brian Gutekunst can show he’s listening and considering his leaders thoughts, while also making the team better. Complete the scene and get this thing done.
