Colin Cowherd's Surprising Favorite In The Aaron Rodgers Sweepstakes

The Aaron Rodgers rumors are flying and the names are repetitive. The Jets and the Raiders are getting all of the attention although Rodger is quick to remind you not buy into any of the BS.

With the number of teams interested in upgrading their quarterback situation larger than usual Colin Cowherd sees one likely location as a sneaky favorite to land the Hall of Famer.

“So I got to tell you I’m thinking to myself, I’m Aaron I’m single, I don’t have kids….Miami. Oh get over the Tua thing. That’s an eye roll. How many times have they told us they loved Tua and an hour later there’s a DeShaun Watson story. There’s a Tom Brady story. If you trust Miami, that is a you problem.

They have a great left tackle, unbelievable weapons, no state tax, warm weather, city for a single guy. They have unbelievable speed at wide receiver. Capable running backs. I don’t know, Miami kind of feels like what I would do…Three four more years. Super brilliant offensive head coach from the 49ers system. Aaron’s gotten beat by that 49ers system multiple times. He just got beaten by Garoppolo not long ago,an inferior quarterback to him. He’s gotta be thinking if “I had that system”…and now he can get it in miami. Super fast veteran wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Mike Gesicki is a better than average tight end. I know you all love Tua. He’s the nicest kid in the world but sorry if I’m a little skeptical in that situation. And I also think the division, the Jets don’t have a quarterback, New England’s got one but they’re limited, and it looks like Josh Allen and the bills are regressing so I’m going to go with this…51% Packers 25% dolphins 18% Titans Jets and Raiders it could happen but just to protect it I’ll say 3%.”

Cowherd weaves his way through all the potential suitors in the full video below.

Everything Cowherd says here makes sense. Given the Packers desire to trade Rodgers out of the NFC, Miami could be a perfect partner if willing to give up the same sort of draft capital as the Jets.

it would be interesting to see if that’s the sort of area Rodgers wants to spend his time. He’s seemingly spent so much of the last few years building up his image as an Ayahuasca loving, peace flowing nature man. Denver made sense to his and Tennessee make sense to his personality but Miami could make the most sense for his legacy. We’ll keep an eye on it as things develop.
