David Bakhtiari Fires Back In Defense Of Aaron Rodgers

The Aaron Rodgers war rages on. The personal choices and statements of Rodgers have been as much in the crosshairs the past few years as his play. The superstar quarterback became the focal point of the NFL’s vaccine debate in 2021 and it felt like everyone had something to say about it. Rodgers’ subsequent podcast appearances on The Pat McAfee Show and Joe Rogan have served as fuel for his haters and justification for his supporters. At a time when America seems extremely divided Rodgers serves as a perfect microcosm of said division.

Jimmy Kimmel’s politics are no secret and during a monologue he found his way towards an Aaron Rodgers punchline. After Kimmel discussed UFOs he took a side step to take a shot at number 12.

“Needless to say, all this UFO talk has the tinfoil-hatters going wild, including Green Bay whack Packer Aaron Rodgers, who offered this hot take on ‘The Pat McAfee Show,’” Kimmel said before showing a clip of Rodgers making note of potential names of Jeffrey Epstein’s client list. “Might be time to revisit that concussion protocol,” Kimmel followed it with.

For those on the anti-Rodgers side it was a homerun. For those on the pro Rodgers side David Bakhtiari was quick to come to the defense of his favorite quarterback.

Bakhtiari responded to the clip, “Tell me you’re on the Jeffrey Epstein client list, without telling me you’re on the Jeffrey Epstein client list….”

As a Green Bay Packer fan who was tasked with covering this, but also doesn’t care about the divisiveness in this country at all I saw it like this…Aaron Rodgers’ clip was boring, Jimmy Kimmel’s joke sucked, and David Bakhtiari’s was worse. And as the old saying goes three losses don’t make a win, except on social media where losers always think they’re winning.
