Tetairoa McMillan Reveals His Thoughts On the Packers Right Before the Draft

The Green Bay Packers are in the market to take a wide receiver at some point early in the draft. It could be Round 1, and if it is, it’d be the first time the Packers selected a wide receiver in the first round since they took Javon Walker in 2002.

One name to keep tabs on is Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan. On Wednesday, he gave his thoughts on Green Bay.

Speaking to reporters in the Titletown District of Green Bay, McMillan noted, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, how much interest they have in him.

They’ve been showing me nothing but love throughout this whole draft process.

That much won’t get Packers fans giddy. He’s arguably the top receiver in this class, and many Green Bay fans would love to see a path that ends with McMillan in green and gold.

What McMillan said after that may have Packers fans wanting it to become a reality even more.

I feel like I could fit in any offense well. But this one specifically, yeah.

Green Bay hasn’t been able to hide its fascination with the Arizona wide receiver. The Packers used a top-30 visit on McMillan, and general manager Brian Gutekunst was reportedly the only general manager in attendance for McMillan’s private workout. While plenty of scouts were in attendance, Gutekunst was the only GM.

Where McMillan goes in the draft is a big storyline entering Day 1. Some mock drafts have him going as high as No. 5 to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Others have him available and on the board when Green Bay selects at No. 23 overall.

One thing that doesn’t need clarity: Packers fans would love to see McMillan stay put in Green Bay after Thursday night.
