BREAKING: Kevin Durant Will Miss Wednesday's Game Against the Timberwolves

The test will still be tough for the Timberwolves, but it did become a bit more manageable. The Golden State Warriors announced the defending NBA Finals MVP will miss Wednesday’s game due to a left thigh contusion.

Without Durant, the Warriors will likely go with one of Nick Young or Andre Igoudala to fill out the starting lineup. This may give Tom Thibodeau an opportunity to “hide” Jeff Teague on Durant’s replacement, while Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins could be assigned to Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Still, either option won’t deter the Warriors from bringing the same level of firepower teams are used to facing.

The Timberwolves face the Warriors, in Golden State, Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.
