Timberwolves Pregame Notes: Sept. 30 at Lakers

Timberwolves basketball is back. Well, almost.

Tonight, the Timbewolves get back to work at the Staples Center, for a preseason matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. It’s the one of just three preseason games in 3 1/2 weeks that will take place in the United States. Following tonight’s game, they’ll head to China for a pair of preseason contests against the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

Location: Honda Center, Anaheim, CA

Game Time: 9:00 pm CST

Local TV/Radio: FSN+/830 WCCO

Timberwolves Notes:

According to a report from the Star Tribune’s Jerry Zgoda, Nemanja Bjelica is back at camp. He was gone for two days following the birth of his son, Stefan. He is a game-time decision for tonight’s game, still feeling the effects of his foot injury from last season.

– It sounds like Tom Thibodeau is not pleased with the decreased number of preseason games in effect this year. In fact, his team will play in an intrasquad scrimmage when they get back home, to serve as their unofficial fourth preseason game.

Lakers Notes:

– According to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com, new signing Andrew Bogut is not expected to play tonight, due to Visa issues. He’s still expected to be with the team.

Trudell also reports both Brook Lopez and Josh Hart are out for tonight, but are getting back to contact drills at camp.
