How about another defensive lineman?

The Minnesota Vikings added another young piece on the line in Ade Aruna from Tulane.

Aruna is a Nigerian native who played four seasons for the Green Wave. He is listed at 6-foot-6, 270 pounds.

He had a solid junior season with 10 tackles for loss, five sacks and a forced fumble. Aruna finished with 11 sacks in his career.

His combine showed impressive measurables as he posted a 4.6 40-yard dash, 38.5-inch vertical and 128-inch broad jump.

From his NFL.com draft profile:

Aruna’s height, weight, length and athleticism are almost sure to get him targeted by teams looking to mine a diamond from his traits. He appears to be a ways away from becoming a factor on the pro level, but he did show interesting flashes as a 3-4 end this season. Aruna flashes as a rusher, but may not have the ability to get after the quarterback as often as teams would like from a traits-based prospect. Aruna is a developmental prospect, but after putting together a huge combine, he will be drafted early than where the tape would dictate.

The rookie joins Stephen Weatherly, Tashawn Bower, Ifeadi Odenigbo and fourth-round pick Jalyn Holmes as young prospects who could contribute at defensive end.

Aruna was ranked 178th on Arif Hasan’s consensus board.
