Jimmy Butler Out with a Right Meniscal Injury, Return Unclear

After leaving Friday’s game in Dallas with an apparent knee injury, Jimmy Butler left Wolves fans fearing the worst.

After a negative X-ray on Friday and an MRI on Saturday, good news came in.

The MRI revealed Butler suffered a “right meniscal injury” on Friday, though the official press release did not list any sort of timetable for his return.

Zone Coverage‘s injury analyst Lucas Seehafer gave his two cents on the matter.

While neither of those scenarios is preferable, they’re still both vastly superior to any scenario involving the ACL, historically an automatic season-ender.
