Wisconsin -20 vs. Illinois (-110): After having a hard time finding a pick I was confident enough to put in the lock category the last few days, I feel like this is a revenge spot for Wisconsin. After ending the brief playoff hopes for Wisconsin last year, the Illini look to play spoiler again — except this time Illinois is without a ton of skill and experience on defense from last year, particularly up front, and Wisconsin is a team that likes to exploit those holes.
This Wisconsin o-line is stronger than ever, and with the addition of blue chip freshman running back Jalen Berger, they should be even harder to stop. The Badgers did, however, lose their preseason quarterback Jack Coan, but all it did was speed up the timeline for the highly-rated Graham Mertz to step in early. The Badgers should run wild in this one.
Degenerates
Dodgers-Rays Under 7.5 (-110): Tonight is the pitching matchup I’ve been waiting to see in this series: Walker Buehler going up against Charlie Morton. Both of these guys can pitch with the best of them, and runs should be tough to score in this one. In a tight game like this should be, both teams will probably use their best rested bullpen arms making runs even harder to score late. This game just feels like a 4-2 type game for me, so I’m rolling with the under.
