Dallas Cowboys -2.5 (-110): The Cowboys have had a short, emotional week after the passing of strength coach Markus Paul. Paul was rushed to the hospital on Monday, and they canceled practice on an already short week. Although Dallas hasn’t had the time necessary to plan for this game properly, I expect them to play some inspired football against a mediocre Alex Smith-led Washington Football Team that was able to get Smith’s first win of the season — ironically in a game that Joe Burrow suffered a horrible knee injury. This one will be physical but the Cowboys pull it off to take the NFC East lead in a Thanksgiving classic.
Degenerates
Ezekiel Elliott Over 77.5 yards (-110): THE BOYS ARE BACK!! I’m kidding, I’m not bought into the Cowboys being a legitimate threat to make a run or be a real problem in the NFC after beating a disappointing Minnesota Vikings team, but they don’t have to be one to win the NFC East. This division is awful, and the recipe for success will be to pound Zeke and use play-action. The defense has come alive a little bit, and it should give Dallas a chance to pound the rock. Zeke should finish the game with his second consecutive 100-plus yards rushing effort.
College Basketball – Illinois -37 (-110): Seriously? 37 points? No, I didn’t get into the Thanksgiving wine early. This is a simple fade on Chicago State, who is objectively the worst team in college basketball. Yesterday Illinois won by 62 and this game will be even easier for them. Last season Chicago State played three power conference teams and the closest they got was 44 points. Fade this team all day and all season long.
