NBA (1 Unit) Karl-Anthony Towns Over 22.5 Points (-110): 7 PM CT on Bally Sports North
This number is opening at just under KAT’s average, and I’m gonna bank that his hatred for Jimmy Butler is enough to fuel him to get this over. Towns has played well lately, coming off of an efficient 28 point game against the Pelicans. Player props are a lot of fun, especially for this Wolves team. As long as KAT stays out of foul trouble. he should be able to push 30 points in this game. If you’re feeling lucky you can double down on Anthony Edwards as well being that the Wolves will need a big game from both of them in order to win tonight.
NBA (1 Unit) Washington Wizards -4 @ New Orleans Pelicans (-110): 7 PM CT
Well, the NBA has started to become profitable so let’s keep the ball rolling with an undervalued Wizards team heading into New Orleans to play one of the worst teams in the NBA. The Pelicans have lost 3 of their last 5 by 15 points or more and recently lost by 5 against the Wizards less than 2 weeks ago in a game that they actually played well (the Wizards still covered -4). Bradley Beal is leading this young Wizards team to the playoffs in the East, and I’m all for it. Also, Coming off of a 14-point loss to the Timberwolves, I expect the 3-16 Pelicans to pack it in once again when the going gets tough.
Degenerates
NBA Portland Trail Blazers -2 @ Sacramento Kings (-110): 9 PM CT
Something’s gotta give in this one. The Blazers have been horrible on the road to start the season behind a rough start from Damian Lillard. Portland is somehow 1-9 on the road and they are on a back-to-back, which is why this number has come in so low. But they also are coming off of a 4-0 home-stand and clearly have figured out some of their early-season issues on the offensive end scoring 116.8 points per game in their last 4. Since before the Kings fired Luke Walton they’ve been a mess, so I’m rolling with momentum against road trends on this Wednesday evening. Until Portland beats a team or two on the road this is staying in the degenerates.
