MLB: (1 Unit) Oakland A’s @ Seattle Mariners (-110): 9:10 PM CT on SportsNet NW

There’s such blatant disrespect of this Seattle Mariners team in the market, especially after we just watched this exact matchup five days ago. The Mariners just went 8-2 on a 10-game road trip, including sweeping four games against the Oakland A’s, only to return home and find themselves a pick’em.

This is the same Oakland team that Seattle has gone 12-4 against this season with 9 straight wins in the series. With Chris Flexen on the mound again tonight the Mariners are set up nicely to continue that run as they’re 7-3 in his past 10 starts. Flexen tossed a dominant 7 innings against the A’s last week, and collectively Oakland has only managed a career .199 average and .524 OPS against him. And with the A’s sending out Cole Irvin again, I’m really liking Seattle here, as Irvin is 0-4 against the Mariners this season with a 7.56 ERA and 2.16 WHIP.

The Mariners are only two games back in the wild card race with a favorable schedule for this last week of the season. I expect them to have plenty of motivation to continue their ownership of this A’s team, and I’ll happily back them at an almost even-money price.

NFL: Tony Pollard Over 2.5 Receptions (-110): 7:15 PM CT on ESPN

As a Dallas Cowboys fan, it’s unsettling to watch zillion-dollar Zeke Elliott get supplanted by Tony Pollard in real-time. However, Pollard is playing really well, has a ton of talent, and is the kind of running back that I think will produce well in a game like this one.

With the Cowboys up against a good Philadelphia Eagles defensive front similar to what they saw in Week 1, I think the game plan will be similar as well. That means a lot of quick passes to the outside and short middle where a good pass-catching back like Pollard can be utilized. Pollard caught four passes in that first game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, along with three last week in one of the best games of his career.

Without Michael Gallup, there are more target opportunities for a player like Pollard, and I think his talent and the strategy tonight will get him over this prop.

Tiny Nick is 385-288 ATS (+90.8 Units) on his Locks since joining Zone Coverage.

Every day he will offer his Locks and Degenerate picks. Locks are the games he’s confident in. Degenerates are entertaining but riskier picks.
