MLB (1 Unit) Tampa Bay Rays/Boston Red Sox Over 9.5 (-110): 6:10 PM CT on NESN
The season series between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays will be over after tomorrow, so I’m taking advantage of how they score runs at Fenway while I still can. After yesterday’s 21-run outburst these teams are 6-1 over this number when playing in Boston, averaging 15 runs per game.
Tonight should see plenty of scoring again as Eduardo Rodriguez takes the mound for Boston. Rodriguez has struggled at Fenway this season, posting a 5.69 ERA in home games while his past 7 starts there are 5-2 over this number. Now he faces the highest-scoring and best team to the over in road games with the Rays in town and has a depleted bullpen behind him.
I expect Tampa to contribute the most to this total, but with the last 10 Red Sox home games going 8-2 over this number, Boston will get involved enough as well. There’s also a breeze blowing out of Fenway tonight, so expect these teams to continue doing what they’ve done against each other all season.
