MLB (0.75 Unit) LA Angels/Texas Rangers Over 8.5 (-110): 7:05 PM CT on Bally Sports SW
I’m going right back after this same total between these same teams, but with worse pitchers taking the mound tonight. Call me stubborn, but the trends are still the trends. There was also a severe lack of clutch hitting last night, as the Rangers went hitless with runners in scoring position, and the Angels grounded into a triple play to end their most productive inning.
If these teams can clean those issues up, this game should return to the standard we’ve seen between them, especially in Globe Life Park. The starting pitchers today should help the cause even more. Dane Dunning has been pretty bad for Texas lately, posting a 7.53 ERA in September. The righty also has a 4.50 ERA and .318 on-base average allowed to the Angels this season.
And LA is starting Tucker Davidson, who should be in the minors, but the Angels are short on options. Since being acquired this summer, Davidson has a 7.24 ERA for the Halos and should allow Texas to contribute more here than they did yesterday. Don’t be scared off by the bad result yesterday, as I see these teams returning to form here.
