The (Under) Dogs Are Barking! Week 15 Edition

Fresh off a 3-0 week, the pickins are a little slim in Week 15, with four games already off the table. But fear not: I found three little doggies I like.

Jaguars +4 ½ vs. Cowboys

I choose to ignore the fact that Jacksonville has lost its last 20 games against NFC teams. I mean, we’re getting points, after all. This is a classic look-ahead spot for Dallas, with a huge home game against the Eagles on deck next week. Needless to say, the ‘Boys were underwhelming last week in a narrow win over the Texans, while the Jags were very impressive with that road win in Nashville. Jacksonville’s D will force Dak to beat them, and on the flip side, Trevor Lawrence has looked every bit like a franchise QB the last six weeks. Wouldn’t be shocked if they win outright.

Bears +9 vs. Eagles

I’m following the same look-ahead formula here for the Eagles, who admittedly have bitten me a couple of times this season. The line is inflated a bit, thanks to Philly’s beat down of the New York Giants and I’ll take the bonus points. The Eagles defense is impressive, but they haven’t faced anything like Justin Fields and the weather shouldn’t be a factor for Fields’ wheels. It just feels like Philadelphia will come out a bit flat and allow the Bears to hang around. Or else, the big number will give us a shot at a backdoor cover. Feels like Eagles by a touchdown to me.

Titans +3 @ Chargers

We cashed with the Los Angeles Chargers last week but it seems like a good time to buy low on the Tennessee Titans. Everyone will be on the Chargers, who dominated the Dolphins in prime time and appear to be rolling, now that their receivers are back on the field. But the Titans will hand off to Derrick Henry early and often, and LA continues to struggle mightily against the run — and they’ll still be down four or five defensive starters, including safety Derwin James. Just when you start to believe in the Chargers, they let you down: they’re much more profitable as dogs than favorites. I’ll take the Titans and the points.

Last Week: 3-0
