Green Bay Packers Skyrocket Up Colin Cowherd's Offseason Top 10

After spending years criticizing and attacking the Aaron Rodgers era in Green Bay, it appears Colin Cowherd could not be more on board with the Jordan Love version of the Packers.

In his first post free agency Herd Hierarchy, where the popular FOX Sports radio host ranks the top 10 teams in the NFL, the Packers shot all the way up his board to number four.

“I love their young talent, I really do. I think they’re special.” Cowherd said. “I think Jordan Love’s last eight to nine games go watch them, I thought he was spectacular. Matt LaFleur, he finally has HIS team. Aaron Rodgers’ contract off the books, they have 11 picks, the most picks in the entire draft, and they have a history of hitting draft picks. They don’t miss their early picks. Now that Jordan Love is a hit they don’t miss on their top picks. I think they’re really good. I think they’re only getting better. They moved Bahktiari, Aaron’s now been out the building for a year, they’ve got it oiled up. I watched them go and dominate Dallas. I watched them go toe to toe with San Francisco. I like them.”

Yes, it’s still the offseason. Yes, it’s just speculation, but national momentum continues to build behind the young Packers. Flowing underneath all that momentum and adulation is the topic that still isn’t getting the credit it deserves.

Brian Gutekunst bet on himself and the Packer way and won huge.

With Bakhtiari now out of the building, this is the first time that every player on the roster has either been signed or drafted by Gutekunst. In the face of unbelievable criticism the GM walked away from franchise legends Davante Adams, Rogers, Aaron Jones, and Bakhtiari and somehow built the NFL’s youngest and most appealing roster thus cementing a spot on the good side of most national sports shows.

It doesn’t necessarily mean the team will have an easy path however, as division mates Minnesota and Detroit both also landed on Cowherd’s top 10. Minnesota came in at 10 with the popular host saying “just go look at their coach and their offensive weapons…I think Kevin O’Connell…is the best coach in the league that nobody talks about.” Detroit came in one spot ahead of the Packers, at 3, with Cowherd noting “Detroit’s best players are older than Green Bay’s. They are more established.”
