REPORTS: Teddy Bridgewater Will be Activated this Week from PUP, Sam Bradford Could go to IR

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Teddy Bridgewater will be moved to the active roster this week, and the Vikings may move Sam Bradford to injured reserve in order to make room.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero is reporting that Bradford will visit Dr. James Andrews again to get more information about his knee, which should inform the Vikings’ decision to move him to IR.

Pelissero further indicated that a knee scope is one of many options, but one that the Vikings would like to avoid if possible. If Bradford is put on IR this week, he’d be able to return in time for the playoffs.

Ian Rappaport is confident that this doesn’t mean that Bridgewater will start right away and Pelissero has also reported that Bridgewater mostly took backup reps in practices thus far.

The Vikings will have a lot of available information to weight their multiple decisions — whether to put Bradford on IR, who to cut if they don’t, who to start once Bridgewater is on the active roster and so forth.
