Locks
Bills/49ers Over 47.5 (-110): Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Raheem Mostert and company are ready to go with Nick Mullens at quarterback for this primetime matchup, and I expect them to put up some points. This Buffalo defense comes in averaging over 25 points allowed per game, and Josh Allen can light it up on the offensive side of the ball. I expected this number to come in more around the 50 mark, so I’ll take my chances with a number as low as 47.5. I’m also intrigued by the Bills ML (+120) in this one but didn’t want double action in the same game.
Degenerates
Washington Football Team +7 @ Steelers (-110): Originally when this spread came out it was at nine points and I was interested in taking Washington as a lock, but a lot has changed since then. This line has moved all the way to 6.5 and is trending to six, and I tread lightly with anything under seven. We’ve seen the Steelers struggle to blow out mediocre teams (i.e., Cowboys, Broncos and COVID-stricken Ravens), so for that reason I am rolling with Washington today. Alex Smith has somehow been playing pretty good football, but I know how quickly things can go south for the Football Team, so I’m putting this in the degenerates column today.
