MLB – Blue Jays ML vs. Royals (-110): 5:10 PM CT
When I was looking through today’s starting pitchers, I was absolutely shocked to see the matchup in this game. Minnesota Twins fans are getting a showdown of two former starters in when Ervin Santana faces Tommy Milone.
Yeah, you heard that right ladies and gentlemen. It seems like years since Santana has had a good start (it has been years) and Milone should be able to keep the Kansas City Royals in check long enough for the Toronto Blue Jays’ bats to wreak havoc in what could be a high scoring affair.
Santana last appeared in the big leagues in 2019. He posted a 9.45 ERA for the Chicago White Sox and was optioned. The over is intriguing in this game as well, but I’m going to stick to fading Santana and the Royals and roll with the Blue Jays in this one, especially because I love this Toronto team even though they have started a little slow.
Degenerates
MLB – White Sox ML vs. Red Sox (+105): 4:10 PM CT
This is a battle of two teams that have done the opposite of what they were expected to do this year. The Boston Red Sox seemed to be going in the direction of a rebuild and still could regress, but they’ve exceeded expectations in a talented AL East this far.
On the other hand, the Chicago White Sox haven’t clicked on all cylinders yet. With the exception of a no-hitter onslaught of the Cleveland Indians two nights ago, they haven’t hit their stride yet. This lineup is simply too good not to take with plus money. Dylan Cease is more than capable of having a good start and holding this Red Sox lineup to a favorable number en route to a Chicago win.
