NBA – 2-Team Moneyline Parlay (+140): Knicks and Nuggets

It really seems like everyone and their 3rd cousin is anxious to get back on the New York Knicks cover train after they fell to the Phoenix Suns on Monday.
Sharp bettors immediately moved in to fade the public, driving the opening number of -5 down to -4. I can see the logic there as the Chicago Bulls have covered four of their last six, all with spreads of 5 points or less. Ultimately I think no Zach LaVine will be too much for Chicago to overcome against a great defense like New York, and they’ll leave The Garden with a loss.
I might regret not backing the Knicks on the side, but I’ll take the easier road and only ask them to win for this first parlay leg.
Nuggets – 8:00 PM on Altitude Sports
To close this parlay, I’m asking the Denver Nuggets to win another game without Jamal Murray, something they’ve been very good at — they’re 6-1 overall without him.
They have not been covering the number though, just 3-4 ATS over those seven games, so I’ll avoid laying the points with them especially since sharp money hit the New Orleans Pelicans side early. The Nuggets have a tough closing schedule and need wins in spots like this to hold onto the 4th seed.
With Michael Porter Jr. on fire offensively and Nikola Jokic on the path to MVP, I’ll trust Denver to defend home court against a Pelicans team that’s only 4-12 straight up as a road underdog.
Bonus bet: If your book has a big player prop menu, you might be able to find one for Nikola Jokic to record a triple-double at around +185, something The Joker has already done at home against New Orleans this season. With the Pelicans a mess on defense and possibly missing Steven Adams, expect Jokic to stuff the stat sheet again here, and this solid plus-juice price is very attractive.
