Locks
NBA – Pelicans/Nets Over 233 (-110): 6:00 PM CT on ESPN
This one is a simple lock that all comes down to injuries. If the majority of stars play in this one, it will most likely sail over this number comfortably. Zion Williamson, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant are the keys to this one and if they all go, watch out.
The New Orleans Pelicans defense is really bad and the Brooklyn Nets offense is really good. The Nets also play at an upbeat pace, allowing opposing teams to score more frequently as well. I expect a fast-paced shootout in this one and as long as Zion can keep the Pelicans in it just a little bit, the over should hit.
Degenerates
NBA – Pacers -2 vs. Wolves (-110): 6:00 PM CT on Bally Sports North
Although I bet against the Indiana Pacers last night because of their recent struggles, they are still in playoff contention in the East. On the other hand, the Minnesota Timberwolves are trying to hold onto their top-3 protected pick, so the motivation doesn’t feel high for them, especially being that they haven’t had their core all season and Malik Beasley is out again.
There is a slightly false sense of hope in Minnesota with D’Angelo Russell coming back, but the Wolves still really have no reason to win. Domantas Sabonis is out for Indiana which is why I put this in the degenerate section, but I’m going to play the motivation card and go with the Pacers here.
Tiny Nick is 217-139 ATS (+70.8 Units) on his Locks since joining Zone Coverage.
Every day he will offer his Locks and Degenerate picks. Locks are the games he’s confident in. Degenerates are entertaining but riskier picks.
